Apple Computer disclosed in its yearly 10K filing with the U.S. Securitiesand Exchange Commission that its marketshare fell sharply during 1997. Worldwide, Apple's marketshare fell from 5.2% to 3.1%, while it fell from6.6% to 4.3% in the United States. While Apple was consistently in the topthree biggest personal computer manufacturers for many years, they've recently fallen out of the that tier. Sadly, Apple expects its marketshareto fall even further during 1998, "through at least [March] 1998, if not longer.
