Replication Store Limits for Hyper-V Replica

Q: Can I replicate virtual machines (VMs) with iSCSI or virtual fibre channel attached storage using Hyper-V Replica?

A: No. Hyper-V Replica works by replicating changes to the virtual hard disk (VHD) and VHDX files for a VM. It can't replicate attached storage such as iSCSI or virtual fibre channel, and Hyper-V Replica will throw errors when trying to enable replication. Moving to a pure VHD/VHDX configuration is necessary to utilize Hyper-V Replica.
