Q. I've started to export a virtual machine (VM) in Hyper-V but I need to cancel the export. Which process do I need to stop?

A. The Virtual Machine Management Service (vmms.exe) process exports VMs, but you can't stop this process. Instead, open the Hyper-V management console, select the VM you're exporting, and select Cancel Exporting, as shown here.
