JSI Tip 4101. Windows 2000 Terminal Server posts System Event IDs 1111, 1105, and 1106?

Windows 2000 Terminal Services tries to install appropriate printer drivers for any printer that is locally attached to a Terminal Services client. If the drivers are NOT available, the following is posted to the System Event log:

Event Type: ErrorEvent Source: TermServDevicesEvent Category: NoneEvent ID: 1111Date: 2/3/2000Time: 10:31:39 PMUser: N/AComputer: Description: Driver Printer Name required for Printer name is unknown.              Contact the administrator to install the driver before you log in again. Event Type: ErrorEvent Source: TermServDevicesEvent Category: NoneEvent ID: 1105Date: 2/3/2000Time: 10:31:39 PMUser: N/AComputer: Description: Printer security information for the printer Printer Name/Computer Name/Session # could not be set. Event Type: ErrorEvent Source: TermServDevices Event Category: NoneEvent ID: 1106Date: 2/3/2000Time: 10:31:10 PMUser: N/AComputer: Description: The printer could not be installed.

The administrator should install the appropriate printer drivers on the server.
