How do I enable users to log on successfully to Windows 2000 Server Terminal Services?

Start the Active Directory Users and Computers Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in (Start, Programs, Administrative Tools, Active Directory Users and Computers). Note: If the user is in a domain or if the Computer Management MMC is a local account, use Start, Programs, Administrative Tools, Computer Management.

Expand the Users folder (if you are using Computer Management System Tools--Local, Users and Groups).

Right-click the user to whom you want to grant permission, and select Properties.

If this account is a domain account, select the Terminal Services Profile tab, then check Allow logon to terminal server. If this account is a local account, on the Profile tab, select Allow to log on to Terminal Server.

Click Apply.

Start the Terminal Services Configuration MMC (Start, Programs, Administrative Tools, Terminal Services Configuration).

Open the Connections folder, then click Rdp-Tcp.

On the Actions menu, click Properties.

On the Permissions tab, add the users or groups that you want to have permissions to Win2K Terminal Services.
