Difference in touch support for Windows 10 devices

Q. On some of my devices in the System control panel I see Limited Touch Support while others show Full, what causes the difference?

A. The difference between Full and Limited touch support depends on if the driver for the touch device has been certified to meet Windows touch hardware standards which means it has passed the Touch Hardware Quality Assurance (THQA) which is documented at https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/dn169213.aspx.

A limited device has lower expectations from the OS and the OS is more tolerant to latency and edge gestures.
