Q: Can I upgrade to the RTM of System Center Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) 2008 R2 from the community technology preview or release candidate?

A: It's possible to upgrade from the release candidate of VMM 2008 R2 SP1 to the final release using a small upgrade process included in the VMM 2008 R2 SP1 media bin folder. However, an upgrade from the Community Technology Preview isn't possible. The upgrade to VMM 2008 R2 SP1 is supported from VMM 2008 R2 and VMM 2008 R2 RC only.
