Large VMs with NUMA Spanning Disabled

Q: If I turn off NUMA spanning, can I use Dynamic Memory to create a virtual machine that's larger than one NUMA node?

A: No. If you turn off NUMA spanning, then the resources of a virtual machine must be able to fit within a single NUMA node. This means the maximum number of virtual processors must be equal or less than the logical processors in a NUMA node and the startup memory must be available within a NUMA node. Note that the maximum amount of memory for the virtual machine doesn't matter, because it isn't guaranteed to be available to the virtual machine.
