Q. How can I configure the IP Security Policy Management MMC snap-in to manage IPsec policies for remote computers?

To configure the IP Security Policy Management MMC snap-in, on Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, to manage IPsec policies for remote computers:

1. Start / Run / MMC / OK.

2. Use the File menu to press Add/Remove Snap-in.

3. Press the Add button in the Add/Remove Snap-in dialog.

4. Select the IP Security Policy Management snap-in and press the Add button.

5. Check the Another computer radial button.

6. Type the name or IP address of the remote computer you wish to manage.

7. Press Finish.

8. Press Close.

9. Press OK.
