Cloupia Provides a Single View Into Cloud Management

cloupia_0Software developer Cloupia has introduced its new Open Automation for Clouds offering, designed to help enterprises and cloud service providers automate data center management with a single-view platform. The new product is an enhancement to Cloupia’s existing Unified Infrastructure Controller.

The new capability offers a way to automatically add multiple infrastructure and cloud vendors as an extension of data centers, allowing users to add their own and others’ applications on top of the overall control platform.  IT administrators can customize and automate infrastructure administrative and operational tasks without complex custom scripts and system integration engagements, according to Cloupia.

“We want to provide the capability of customers using their own platforms on top of ours,” said Bhaskar Krishnamsetty, VP of products and marketing for Cloupia. “Most customers are already satisfied with the out-of-box capability we can provide. They can add their own billing and integration functions on top of ours.”

The new Cloupia platform includes evaluation software, a software development kit, documentation and training. The company also recently released CloudGenie, a tablet-based data center orchestration application for managing and provisioning physical and virtual infrastructure.
