JSI Tip 7486. When you access a DFS link through the local file system, you receive ' \Folder\DFSLINKFOLDER is not accessible. Access is denied'?

Windows 2000 uses local file system placeholders below the shared Distributed File System root folder to account for the the DFS links. You can NOT open the placeholders in the local file system. You must open them by using the DFS sharepoint.

To access the shared resources, browse the server's share instead of using the local file system.
