When you connect a SBP-2 (Serial Bus Protocol 2) device, like an IEEE 1394 device, to a computer that is running Windows XP SP2, the SBP-2 device hangs, or doesn't work properly.

Device Manager doesn't list the SBP-2 device.

Other IEEE 1394 devices that were working stop responding, or don't work properly.

To resolve this issue, download and install WindowsXP-KB904412-v2-x86-ENU.exe.
