Thanks to Steven Kreis for tipping me off that Microsoft Press is now selling a beta version of the Windows 98 Resource Kit. The Kit, which isnow available from amazon.com for $56, includes a full working version ofthe Windows 98 Beta 3 software, a slew of administration tools for assessing the deployment, configuration, and support issues for Windows 98.

Once Windows 98 is finalized, Microsoft Press will release a new versionof the Resource Kit titled "Microsoft Windows 98 Resource Kit : The Professional's Companion to Windows 98." This version, interestingly, willcost less than the beta, at $48 through amazon.com (on the other hand, thefinal version will not include the Windows 98 operating system).

For more information about the Windows 98 Resource Kit, please visit amazon.com (and search for "Windows 98 Resource Kit") or the Microsoft Press Web site
