Microsoft Surface Firmware Updates for February 2014

After an unusually rough January, Microsoft is back today with another round of Surface firmware updates timed to Patch Tuesday. And this month, the firm is offering updates for Surface 2, Surface Pro and Surface Pro 2, but not the original Surface RT.

You can read all about the silliness from last month in Microsoft Surface Firmware Updates for January 2014 (the original update), Surface Firmware Update Fracas (the fallout) and Microsoft Surface Firmware Updates for January 2014 (Take Two).

But I'm not one to hold a grudge. What's on tap this month?

Surface RT (original version)

No product updates were released for Surface RT in February, regardless of whether you're running Windows RT 8.0 or 8.1.

Surface Pro (original version) with Windows 8.0 or Windows 8.1

The following updates apply to Surface Pro, regardless of whether you're running Windows 8.0 or 8.1.

Surface Pro Embedded Controller Firmware (v9.00.50) to resolve behavior where the Surface would reset when waking from sleep.

Surface Pro System Aggregator Firmware (v2.84.0150) to resolve issues where Surface would reset upon repeated Surface Cover attach/detach, where On Screen Keyboard would unexpectedly pop-up even though Surface Cover is attached, and where Surface Cover is not detected after wake up from sleep.
