If you configure the Internet Mail information service as part of your Windows NT Messaging profile, and you remove the Remote Access Service (RAS), you may receive either or both of the following:

Microsoft Windows Messaging Subsystem The MAPI Spooler has shut down unexpectedly. Close all mail-enabled applications before attempting to log on again. Dr. Watson for Windows NT An application error has occurred and an application error log is being generated. MAPISP32.exe Exception: access violation (0xc0000005), Address: 0x00000000

The Deliver Now command on the Tools menu may also be disabled.

. Click Remote Access Service in the Network Service box and then click OK.

. Configure the port.

. When prompted. restart your computer.

. Re-apply your latest Servie Pack.

NOTE: - This does not apply to the Microsoft Internet Mail and News service.
