How are Server Groups enabled in Configuration Manager

Q. How do I enable server groups in Configuration Manager 1606?

A. With the new Configuration Manager as a Service deployment model that updates regularly in sync with Windows 10 there are a number of features that are made available in a pre-release (experimental) fashion so they can be tested. One of these is server groups which is used for the patching of clusters by placing all nodes into a collection. To turn on features perform the following:

  1. Open the Configuration Manager console

  2. Open the Administration workspace

  3. Navigate to Cloud Services - Updates and Servicing - Features

  4. Select a feature that is not currently enabled and select the Turn on action

  5. Use the new feature
