High performance computing (HPC) underlies virtually all major advances in today's scientific and engineering disciplines. HPC-as-a-Service (HPCaaS) aims to elevate HPC from an ad-hoc departmental utility to a first-class enterprise IT offering. In this presentation, datacenter expert, Mel Beckman explains the speeds and feeds of modern HPC and what you need to create or consume HPCaaS offerings.
You'll also hear about the experiences of actual HPCaaS implementation and the most common issues overlooked when creating an HPC cloud service. After this session you will be well equipped to build or lease your own HPCaaS infrastructure!
