Q: Can I turn off the trackpad on my Surface Pro 3?

A: The trackpad on the Surface Pro 3 keyboard is just another input device and can be disabled as follows:

  1. Select the Settings charm.

  2. Select Change PC Settings.

  3. Select PC and devices.

  4. Select Mouse and touchpad.

  5. In the Touchpad selection, set the touchpad to Off, as the following figure shows.
