Q. How can I prevent the Adobe Acrobat My eBooks folder from appearing in the My Documents folder?

A. I describe how to prevent default folders from being recreated in the My Documents folder in the FAQ "How can I stop the My Videos and My Music subfolders from appearing in the My Documents folder in Windows XP and later?" at http://www.winnetmag.com/articles/index.cfm?articleid=41875. However, the procedure doesn't work for the Adobe My eBooks folder. To prevent the My eBooks folder from appearing in My Documents, perform these steps:
Open Windows Explorer.
Navigate to C:program filesadobeacrobat 6readerplug_ins.
Move the ebook.api file to the C:program filesadobeacrobat 6readeroptional folder.
Close Windows Explorer.
Delete the My eBooks folder from your My Documents folder. It shouldn't reappear.
