A. Event ID 3013 is message:

"The redirector has timed out to "

and usually means the server is one of the following:

  • Either busy and cannot respond before the rdr timeout

  • The network could be busy

  • Bottleneck in the network

To resolve this problem its possible to modify the timeout so as to increasethe redirector timeout. To modify perform the following:

  1. Start the registry editor (regedit.exe)

  2. Move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesLanmanWorkstationParameters

  3. From the Edit menu select New - DWORD value

  4. Enter a name of SESSTIMEOUT and press Enter

  5. Double click the new value and set in the range of 10 - 65535 seconds (45 seconds is the default). Click OK

  6. Close the registry editor

  7. Reboot the machine
