Patch Tuesday: Botched PowerPoint Update Re-released Under New Number

Microsoft's Patch Tuesday is the gift that keeps on giving all month long.

If you're one of those 50 or so Windows RT users (I kid, I kid) who were affected by Microsoft latest round of botched Patch Tuesday updates, you should know that Microsoft has now pushed out a fixed update. In this case, though, the fixed update also comes with a brand new KB article number.

The original was KB2920732 (talked about HERE). The new one is KB2956149.

I guess Microsoft was so embarrassed, or maybe infuriated, at the complete lack of QC on this one, they just decided to scrap it all and start fresh.

Anyway, the fixed update has been reported to work and you should install it if your version of PowerPoint running on Windows RT is still not working.
