Microsoft's Cloud Privacy Policies in 3 Page-Downs
If you want a quick glance at Microsoft's privacy and security policies for its Cloud offerings, this is it.

Microsoft has put together an overview document that is much simpler to read than a page full of legal jargon. The Cloud Privacy Overview document serves to supply a quick glance at everything the company has done, and is doing, to ensure customer privacy, security, and compliance with local geographic laws.
Despite what you may think about the Cloud, or the areas you perceive to be troublesome for your organization, it's apparent that Microsoft is attempting to cover all the bases. There's value in the Public Cloud solely as an extension of your current network. If you've been following, you've heard me say a bunch that the Cloud makes sense in specific scenarios, and I continue to stand by my thoughts that a full migration to a Public Cloud is not just silly to consider, but downright irresponsible.
Still, things are progressing. Microsoft is working to approach and eliminate each barrier.
The document the company is providing today highlights the steps taken against each of those perceived barriers, and also highlights those areas that make Microsoft's Public Cloud offering different from the other vendors in the space. And, of course, as always the company takes a swipe at Google, highlighting the Search vendor's insistence to monetize everything through ad aware services. And, I have to continue to agree. Google is not about providing the best "Cloud" experience as much as the luring customers to use its services so that personal and business data can be gleaned and manipulated to serve advertisements.
Microsoft's Cloud Privacy Overview should briefly answer some of the burning questions customers might have about Cloud services such as Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and CRM Online.
