Microsoft offering up to $150 off the Surface Pro 3

It looks like Microsoft may be looking for opportunities to make the Surface Pro 3 an attractive investment as we are in the final months before Windows 10 is released.

It has long been believed that the next Surface Pro, presumably the Surface Pro 4 if the current naming scheme remains in place, will be a Windows 10 device and based on the normal annual hardware refresh we have seen over the last two years with this line it makes sense.

With the prospective release of a replacement device for the current in market hardware it will become common place to see discounts and other special offers to help move any inventory the company still has available.

It looks like today is the beginning of one of those offers from the Microsoft Store

The discount does not apply to all Surface Pro 3 devices but it covers the i5 and i7 models as shown below:

128GB / Intel i5 / 1.9GHz normally $999 now $100 off at $899

256GB / Intel i5 / 1.9GHz normally $1,299 now $150 off at $1,149

256GB / Intel i7 / 1.7GHz normally $1,549 now $150 off at $1,399

512GB / Intel i7 / 1.7GHz normally $1,949 now $150 off at $1,799

All of these special offers also include a sleeve for carrying the Surface Pro 3 in however, it does not include the keyboard – that is a separate purchase.

According to the fine print on the bottom of the Surface Pro 3 product page online this offer is valid until 05 April 2015.
