Microsoft Makes Skype Less Annoying
Microsoft will be rolling out a new feature for Skype in the coming weeks, finally fixing multitude of notifications syndrome.

If you've used Skype at all, particularly on multiple devices, you know how annoying it can be to receive notifications. When one of your devices notifies you of a chat or incoming call, every other Skype-enabled device you carry with you will also go off and not stop until you address the notification. It's like sitting in a clock maker's store at midnight.
Today Microsoft is introducing a new feature for Skype that will roll out in the next few weeks. Called Active Endpoint, the new function will make Skype smart enough to figure out which device you are actually using when notifications come in. When you stop actively using a device, Skype will go back to sending notifications to every device again, to ensure you are always able to be notified.
Now, if they could just fix the same annoyance with Windows 8.x and Windows Phone 8.1 notifications.
