Get ready for November's Patch Tuesday. Microsoft has released its advanced bulletin notification and it’s a doozy. On Tuesday of next week, Microsoft will rollout 16 updates with the following severities:
5 rated Critical
9 rated Important
2 rated Moderate
The updates cover the full gambit including updates for Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, Office, Exchange, .NET Framework, Internet Information Services (IIS), Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Input Method Editor (IME) (Japanese), and Kernel Mode Driver (KMD).
With the number of update problems in October (and previous months), you might consider packing a sleeping bag, clearing the grocery store shelves of milk and bread as if a major weather event is coming, and find a comfortable spot in the server room until this is all over.
