Details for Next Week's Windows 10 Event Emerge
If you're like most, you're already fanatically interested in Windows 10. Next week, Microsoft will kick off 2015 with a brand new Windows 10 event to talk about the OS's direction.
January 15, 2015
In late 2014, Microsoft announced plans to host a brand new event to give the public updates on its Windows 10 developments. It's been a few months since the first event, where Microsoft officially unveiled the name of its next OS and gave a few demos. And, despite a steady supply of new Builds to the Windows Insiders group, not much else has been said about the direction, particularly in the vein of consumer and mobile options.
Windows 10 marks the first time Microsoft is seeking to merge all of its OS's into a single version that can be installed across the multitude of devices it produces. The hope is that Windows 10 will supply computing to Windows Phone, Windows PCs, Windows devices, and even the Xbox One.
Because of this and many more unknowns (like price), Microsoft's public check-in next week is highly anticipated.
As usual, Microsoft has invited a private cadre of reporters and analysts to catch the event in-person, but is also making portions of the event available for live streaming for everyone else. Here's the details:
Date: January 21, 2015
Time: 9:00 AM PST

During the event you can expect to hear from Microsoft's Operating Systems Group heavyweights, including Terry Myerson, Joe Belfiore, and Phil Spencer, but CEO, Satya Nadella will also be on hand.
