December Lync 2013 CU Breaks Google Chrome Ability to Join Meetings
Users of Google Chrome are unable to join Lync meetings after applying the December Lync 2013 Cumulative Update.

In a somewhat terse and truly uninformative post, Doug Deitterick with the Lync team, made a public note about an incompatibility introduced in the December Cumulative Update for Lync Server 2013. Simply stated, the Google Chrome browser can no longer connect to a Lync meeting using the Lync Web App and will be presented with the following message:
Google Chrome no longer supports Lync Web App
Doug's suggestion?
Customers…"will need to use Internet Explorer or Firefox if they would like to join the Lync meeting using Lync Web App."

Comments have already started accumulating on the post's page. One responder wonders if this is Microsoft's way of forcing users to stop using Google Chrome, and another blasts Microsoft for making such a drastic change without any notice.
