Cortana Becomes Even More Helpful with Windows Phone Help Integration

Cortana can do a multitude of things for you – and she seems to really enjoy it. When my family members decided it was time for a new smartphone, it was actually my use of Cortana that pushed them all to Windows Phone.

So, while Cortana can do all kinds of things (see the current and growing list HERE) from setting reminders to predicting the winners for "Dancing with the Stars" to telling jokes, it seemed a bit strange that she wasn't able to provide help capabilities for actually using the smartphone she lived. Dubbed a personal assistant, one would think that task to be elementary and a given.

Microsoft has released a new version of its Help+Tips app for Windows Phone 8.1 that now includes Cortana integration. Instead of opening the app and tapping through scenarios, just ask Cortana things like "How do I make a phone call?" or "How do I send a text using Cortana?"

This is particularly useful for those smartphone defectors who have decided to break tradition and move from iOS and Android to Windows Phone.
