Azure Recovery Services Agent Updated with Fixes and New Features

An update is now available from Microsoft for the Azure Recovery Services Agent. The update provides some reliability fixes, but also delivers some new features.

New features added:

  • Extended retention range. Customers can now keep recovery points for up to nine years if a recovery point is configured on time in four weeks.

  • Simpler Agent registration. Improves the experience by allowing customers download vault credentials instead of manually creating a certificate and uploading it to the Azure portal first.

  • Support for Windows Server 2012 R2 CORE SKUs

The new agent is available from here: Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Agent
