Azure Machine Learning Reaches GA
Microsoft has used Strata + Hadoop World to announce the unveiling of Machine Learning.

Today at Strata + Hadoop World, Microsoft has taken the wraps off its Machine Learning service built on Microsoft Azure.
Machine Learning is a complex set of tools, simplified for general use that is powered by the Azure Cloud architecture. Designed for data scientists, it enables the ability to easily build, deploy and share advanced analytics solutions.
Here's what's available as part of today's general availability release:
Creating web services only takes minutes due the Azure architecture and capacity.
APIs allow customization to "retrain" or refresh learning models.
Both Python and R are available to developers.
Microsoft is touting "Big Learning" in this release. Big Learning is a way for Machine Learning to efficiently classify and manipulate large data sets (Big Data).
Fully developed and completed data algorithms can be made available in the Azure Store for access by smartphones, web sites, and other Cloud applications.
A community-based gallery allows subscribers to learn from others' inventions and data experiments.
