Q. How can I stop Server Manager from running when I start Windows Server 2008?

A. There is an option in Server Manager to stop it from launching every time you start Server 2008. In the Server Summary section, go to Computer Information and select "Do not show me this console at logon." You can also stop Server Manager from launching by setting the registry value “DoNotOpenServerManagerAtLogon” to 1 under the HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMICROSOFTSERVERMANAGER registry subkey.
