Windows Server 2003 supports graphics acceleration, but it is disabled on the server to promote stability.

To enable graphics acceleration:

01. Right click a blank area of the desktop and press Properties.

02. Select the Settings tab.

03. Press the Advanced button.

04. Select the Troubleshoot tab.

05. Move the Hardware acceleration slider to Full.

06. Press Apply.

07. Press OK and OK.

08. Start / Run / dxdiag / OK.

09. Press Yes if prompted to connect to Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs.

10. When WHQL is finished validating, select the Display tab.

11. Press the Enable button next to DirectDraw Acceleration and Direct3d Acceleration.

12. Complete the dialog, testing DirectDraw and DirectSound. If desired, you can save your settings to a text file.

13. Press Exit.
