The Windows Audio service in Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition is disabled by default, to enhance stability.

If you wish to enable sounds in Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition:

1. Open a CMD.EXE window.

2. Type the following commands, pressing Enter after each line:

sc config AudioSrv start= autosc start AudioSrv
