JSI Tip 9352. How do I install SCW (Security Configuration Wizard) after installing SP1 (Service Pack 1) on Windows Server 2003?

When you install SP1 on Windows Server 2003, the SCW (Security Configuration Wizard) is NOT automatically installed, even through its' Help file is installed.

To install SCW:

1. Open Control Panel.

2. Open the Add or Remove Programs applet.

3. Press the Add/Remove Windows Components button in the left hand pane.

4. Check the Security Configuration Wizard box.

5. Press Next.

6. Press Finish.

NOTE: The Administrative Tools folder on the Start menu now contains the Security Configuration Wizard shortcut to %SystemRoot%system32scw.exe.
