When you use RIS on a Windows 2000 server to create a RIPREP image of Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1, you receive:

Failed to stop service
Remote Installation Preparation Wizard failed to stop one or more services. See RIPrep.log for details.

NOTE: The RIPrep.log is located at \reminstsetupImagesi386.

To fix this bug, replace the RIPREP files with copies from the Windows Server 2003 CD-ROM:

1. Rename RIPrep.exe, RIPrep.inf, and Setupcl.exe on your server at Remoteinstalladmini386.

2. Restart your Windows 2000 server.

3. Open a CMD.EXE windows.

4. Insert the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 CD.

5. Type the following commands, pressing Enter after each one:

     Expand i386riprep.ex_ Remoteinstalladmini386reprep.exe
     Expand i386riprep.in_ Remoteinstalladmini386reprep.inf
     Expand i386setupcl.ex_ Remoteinstalladmini386setupcl.exe
     Exit

6. Remove the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 CD from the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive.
