JSI Tip 7103. When you install Exchange 2000 on Windows Server 2003, you receive 'Error 1067' and Event ID 1000?

After the subject install, one or more of the following occurs:

Event Type: Error Event Source: Application Error Event Category: (100) Event ID: 1000 Date: 08/25/2003 Time: HH:MM:SSUser: N/A Computer: Description: Faulting application STORE.EXE, version 6.0.4417.5, faulting module EXWIN32.DLL,              version 6.0.4417.0, fault address 0x0002145b. Could not start the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service on Local Computer.Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly. The following error event is also reported in the Application event log:Event Type: Error Event Source: Application Error Event Category: (100) Event ID: 1000 Date: 08/25/2003 Time: HH:MM:SS User: N/A Computer: Description: Faulting application STORE.EXE, version 6.0.4417.5, faulting module EXWIN32.DLL,             version 6.0.4417.0, fault address 0x0002145b.

Exchange 2000 is NOT supported on Windows Server 2003.

Install Exchange 2000 on a Windows 2000 Server running Service Pack 3 or greater.
