JSI Tip 7036. Windows 2000 Server hangs when you attempt to wake it from standby?

If the power button is configured to shut down the computer, this behavior occurs if you press the power button while the computer is entering standby.

To workaround this problem, don't press the power button while the computer is entering standby, or configure the power button to enter standby:

1. Start / Settings / Control Panel / Power Options.

2. Select the Advanced tab.

3. In the When I press the power button on my computer list, select Standby and press OK.
