To workaround this behavior, you must prevent either incoming and/or outgoing Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) connections.

To Prevent Incoming PPTP Connections:

1. Use the RRAS snap-in to press the + sign on the RRAS server node.

2. Right-click Ports and press Properties.

3. Clear the Remote Access Connections (inbound only) box.

To Prevent Incoming and Outgoing PPTP Connections

1. Use the RRAS snap-in to press the + sign on the RRAS server node.

2. Right-click Ports and press Properties.

3.Clear the Remote Access Connections (inbound only) box and the Demand-dial routing connections (inbound and outbound) box.
