JSI Tip 10488. When you open a Web page in a UDDI Web site hosted on Windows Server 2003 you receive errors?
May 14, 2006
Internet Explorer issues an error, and your Application event records errors when you attempt to open a Web page in a UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration) Web site when you have distributed installations of UDDI on Windows Server 2003 AND you upgrade to Windows Server 2003 SP1 (Service Pack 1).
The Internet Explorer error is:
Server Error in '/Folder' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Server configuration error. UDDI_ERROR_SCHEMA_MISMATCH
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: UDDI.UDDIException: Server configuration error. UDDI_ERROR_SCHEMA_MISMATCH
The Application event log records:
Error message 1
Event Type: Error
Event Source: UDDIRuntime
Event Category: Config
Event ID: 200
Date: MM/DD/YYYY
Time: HH:MM:SS
User: N/A
Computer:
Description: The version of the schema being used by the Web server (2.1.1.0) is not compatible with the version of the schema being used by the database server (2.0.1.3).
Error message 2
Event Type: Error
Event Source: UDDIRuntime
Event Category: Config
Event ID: 200
Date: MM/DD/YYYY
Time: HH:MM:SS
User: N/A
Computer:

This behavior occurs if not all of the servers in the distributed installations of UDDI are not at the same service pack level, because the UDDI Web component is installed on one server and the UDDI database components is on another server, or on a cluster.
To resolve this issue, either update the other servers to the highest service pack level you have installed, or roll back all servers to the previous service pack level.
