Your attempts to manually delete a USB (Universal Serial Bus) printer port in Windows Server 2003, or in Windows XP, fail.

This behavior is by design.

The creation and deletion of USB printer ports is an automated process.

To delete a USB printer port, unplug the USB printer cable from your computer. When you restart your computer, the USB printer port is automatically deleted.

NOTE: The driver is not deleted, and will automatically load if you reconnect the USB printer.
