Every 60 seconds, Windows Server 2003 polls for corrected hardware error conditions.

When the firmware also operates on the corrected error information, a conflict may exist.

If you want to disable the corrected machine check process:

1. Open a CMD.EXE window.

2. Type the following command and press Enter:

REG ADD "HKLMSYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession Manager" /V EnableCMC /T REG_DWORD /F /D 0

3. Shutdown and restart your server.
