FrontPage in Windows Server 2003
Learn how to configure Microsoft FrontPage for Windows Server 2003.
June 28, 2004
If you host multiple domains and you let users use Microsoft FrontPage to create Web pages, when you migrate your Web applications to Windows Server 2003 you'll need to add not only server extensions on the new server but also user roles to Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0. Active Directory (AD) user accounts that worked in IIS 5.0 in Windows 2000 Server might not let users access the new location. To add roles, right-click the hosted application in IIS Manager and select All Tasks, Check Server Extensions 2002. When Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) opens, select the Administration link at the top of the page. You can manage roles and create IIS accounts for authors on the site administration page that opens.
