Cortana available now for Windows Insiders in Australia, Canada, Japan and India

When we asked about your wish list features for Windows 10 recently you were very vocal about Cortana's slow roll out being one of those things you wanted to see happen faster.

Well, I can not verify if Microsoft has been reading your feedback here at the SuperSite for Windows, but today they have stepped up the roll out of Cortana to Windows 10 Insiders.

If you are a Windows Insider and running Windows 10 Build 10532, this latest desktop preview build was released last week, then you have met part of the criteria for having access to Cortana in some new locations.

The second half of the access equation is to be living in one of the new countries gaining access to Cortana:

  • Australia (English)

  • Canada (English)

  • Japan

  • India (English)

For Insiders in India you are receiving, according to Gabe Aul, an earlier version of Cortana but you can expect it to be updated later this month with an improved voice.

If you are not in one of these countries there is still some hope as Microsoft is promising Cortana will arrive later this year to Windows Insiders in Brazil, Mexico and in French for Canada.

But, wait...there's probably more so be sure to follow me on Twitter and Google+.
