Sprint added two new services--attack protection and content management and filtering--to its existing managed security services porfolio.  The attack protection service, called IP Defender, filters malicious network traffic and forwards other traffic to customers' networks. The service is designed to help prevent Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. The Secure Content Management and Filtering service helps optimize network traffic through caching and provides content filtering for accesss control and authentication as well as proxying and the blocking of malicious code.

More information about the managed service additions is available at Sprint's security products Web site.
