Q. How can I start the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in so that it points to a specific domain controller (DC)?

A. When you start the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in, it tries to connect to the nearest DC in the current domain. To connect to a specific DC, run the command

dsa.msc /server=<server's ip address or name>

If you want, you can create a shortcut to a specific DC on your desktop or on the Start menu.
