A. A registry key controls the automatic rebalancing of the RODCs and you can configure it to disable rebalancing. However, this should only be used in specific circumstances where you need to manually create and manage the connection objects. To disable the rebalancing

  1. Start the registry editor on the RODC.

  2. Navigate to HKLMSYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesNTDSParameters.

  3. From the Edit menu, select New then DWORD value.

  4. Enter a name of Random BH Loadbalancing Allowed and press Enter.

  5. Double-click the new value and set it to 0 to disable automatic rebalancing (set it to 1 to enable rebalancing, the default behavior) and click OK.

  6. Close the registry editor.
