Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 14356 Fixes Microsoft Health Battery Drain

A few days ago, I let you know about how Band Users Should Avoid Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 14342 due to a bug that caused severe battery drain when Microsoft Health would run in the background. This is not the first Build where Microsoft Band owners have had to suffer through problems as part of the Windows Insider program. For a couple months earlier this year, unless you were truly OK with your Microsoft Band not being able to contact your smartphone, new Builds were avoided. And, like many Windows 10 nuances, this recent battery drain issue affected some but not all Insiders with no rhyme or reason.

In Dona Sarkar’s first post as new chief of the Windows Insider program (Gabe Aul passed the torch, crown, and red button) where she talks about a brand new mobile Build (14356), she also notes that the battery drain problem with Microsoft Health has been solved:

We fixed an issue that was resulting in high battery usage when using the Microsoft Health app.
