Music and Movies & TV apps leave preview in Windows 10 build 10130

As you all know Windows 10 still has a few weeks of development before the final version of the new OS is made available on 29 July 2015.

Even though it is not quite done yet some of the apps in the operating system builds we are seeing have reached maturity and are no longer considered previews.

In build 10130 of Windows 10, which was pushed out to Insiders almost two weeks ago, two of those apps that are considered final are the new Universal Windows Platform Music and Music & TV apps.

Now these apps leaving preview status does not mean they will no longer be updated. In fact, these apps saw very regular updates, sometimes weekly, for bug fixes, performance enhancements and new features in Windows 8.1 and they continue to be updated quite often.

There is no reason to expect that the new universal versions of these apps will not see similar efforts from the product team.

This is possible because the apps are not part of the core OS and this provides the flexibility to ship updates on any schedule necessary.
