Q. I upgraded to Windows 10 and my anti-virus software was uninstalled. Why?
A. Windows 10 performs a compatibility check and one of these checks is the anti-virus software. If the check finds the anti-virus software installed is not compatible with Windows 10 it is automatically uninstalled although there is no user notification that this occurs. The machine is still protected but is now protected using the inbox Defended anti-malware solution. It is therefore important to be on the latest version of your anti-malware solution prior to the upgrade to Windows 10 and keep it running the latest version.
