Mastering Windows 10 Deployment using MDT and System Center Configuration Manager
IT/Dev Connections: Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man how to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime.
August 18, 2015
Announced today, Microsoft has finally delivered an awaited update to MDT 2013, allowing enterprises to create centrally managed images for Windows 10 for deployment across the organization.
For businesses, understanding the options available for deploying Windows 10 will only be surmounted by the amount of planning that goes into the massive upgrade project. Many companies are still wrestling with the decision of which servicing branch to choose for continuing updates to the Windows 10 operating system. As I laid out recently, many companies are having difficulty deciding due in large part the frequency of updates that Microsoft has already delivered since the July 29 launch date of Windows 10.
There's a lot to think about. And, unquestionably, there's a lot of education that needs to be had to ensure the decisions are good ones.
We here at WindowsITPro recognized this months ago and made some very careful decisions about the amount and types of content that we would provide for this year's IT/Dev Connections conference. When you peruse the list of scheduled sessions, you'll see a LOT of what I'm talking about. From deployment to management, there's enough content around Windows 10 to fill weeks of training classes. In fact, your manager could approve several weeks away from the office for formal classroom training, and you'd still not get the same level and amount of information we're providing this year.
One of the best examples of this is an all-day workshop being delivered by the popular Windows deployment guru, Johan Arwidmark, the Chief Technical Architect at the Knowledge Factory. On Monday, September 14, Johan is delivering Mastering Windows 10 Deployment using MDT and ConfigMgr. Johan is the leading authority on Windows deployment technologies and scenarios and has led the educational charge across the globe for many years, so you can expect the workshop to be a phenomenal opportunity to get a comprehensive handle on Windows 10 deployments for your organization.
Here's a teaser trailer to get you pumped up for the workshop:
I hope you are able to take advantage of this and every opportunity provided at IT/Dev Connections 2015.
IT/Dev Connections runs from September 14-17, 2015 and is held at the ARIA resort in Las Vegas. If you're already signed-up, make sure to add Johan's workshop to your schedule. If you're not already registered to attend, there's no better time considering the event is less than a month away.
